Instagram is changing and we’re here for it

If you’re an avid Instagrammer like most of us these days, chances are you’re going to notice some changes or new features soon if you haven’t already.

Native Post Scheduling in App

Instagram is currently live-testing native scheduling directly in the app. It’s limited to a small number of members but is likely to roll out to more accounts soon. With this, you’ll be able to set a date and time for your post to go live without having to use a third-party scheduling program like Hootsuite or Sprout Social, or even Creator Suite. This is a game-changer for those who post content while on the go.

Adding a Song to Your Instagram Profile

If you miss being able to customize your social media accounts as we could with Myspace, seems Instagram may be giving you this ability soon by allowing you to add a song to your profile. A well-known social media feature leaker, @alex193a on Twitter, shared this tweet below last week. Our biggest question at Thin Pig is what song would YOU attach to your profile? Let us know in the comments.

Creator Profile with Media Kit Package

Instagram has officially announced that they are launching a ‘Creator Profile’ that will allow creators to have a media kit type package available on their Instagram account to help feature their reach and previous brand work. This will be available in the Professional Dashboard within Instagram native. Not only is this a win for creators but it will be great for the brands who potentially work with them, too.

Instagram Subscriptions

Instagram is focused on helping creators monetize their social media and you can tell by the work they’re putting in on the platform. With this feature, followers pay a subscription fee to view exclusive content. This is available to micro-influencers focused on growing their following and major influencers to grow their brand loyalty.

Out of these four new features, which are you most excited about?
