SADIE

Independent Film Marketing

SITUATION

The producers of SADIE, an independent feature film, approached us with their goals for Creative Distribution. They wanted to build an audience and create significant conversations online leading up to their theatrical release and Video On Demand release.

ACTION

To grow their audience, we used a combination of frequent posts and engagement ads, following up with manual mining and audience development techniques. We collaborated with their public relations team to make the most of every new rave review, and used fine-toothed targeting to generate buzz in the cities where they opened theatrically.

RESULT

We've grown SADIE's audience base by 280.3%, increased their Engagements by 4,020%, and driven 6,330 website visits to their ticketing page.

SONS OF ANARCHY

Television Series Marketing

SITUATION

The creator (Kurt Sutter) and star (Katey Sagal) of Sons of Anarchy wanted to coordinate their personal marketing platforms with those of FX to ensure a cohesive call-to-action campaign around the show's final season.

ACTION

TPM coordinated with FX to collate existing assets and create new assets that would be released synchronously. We also developed a marketing calendar including social media messaging that leveraged all social platforms to generate awareness and drive viewership.

RESULT

Our efforts helped the final season of Sons of Anarchy average 7.54 million viewers per episode, an increase from 6.98 million viewers in season 6. The series finale capped off what was the most-watched season of any FX series in the cable channel’s 20 year history.

JIM GAFFIGAN LIVE TOUR

Live Entertainment Marketing

SITUATION

For the launch of his Noble Ape live tour, stand up legend Jim Gaffigan wanted to leverage his multiple marketing touch points to drive immediate ticket sales.

ACTION

To disrupt local comedy markets, Thin Pig crafted a multi-faceted marketing plan including social media, email marketing, and paid advertising. Each arm of the strategy spiked pre-sale awareness and drove ticket sales for the on-sale date.

RESULT

We assisted in selling over 80% of total tickets on the first day of ticket sales across 80 different shows. Over 40 of the shows completely sold out during the first 24 hours.

GEORGE LOPEZ ‘THE WALL’

Television Special Marketing

SITUATION

With his new HBO stand up special ‘The Wall’ to be filmed live, George Lopez wanted on-the-ground social media support to amplify the online conversation leading up to and during the airing.

ACTION

Thin Pig worked closely with the production and marketing teams from HBO to capture exclusive behind-the-scenes content during rehearsals, and post in real-time during the premiere to increase conversation during the live event.

RESULT

Thanks to the whole team’s hard work, #georgelopezthewall trended on Twitter during the live premiere. We generated millions of impressions across all of George’s platforms.

BLACK HAT

Independent Film Marketing

SITUATION

After being officially selected by Tribeca Film Festival 2019, we were approached by the film's international distributor, Eroin Films. With the goal of making a big splash at Tribeca, the filmmakers wanted to maximize their publicity efforts and employ a more aggressive social media strategy.

ACTION

Thin Pig wrote multiple press releases customized for mainstream film press as well as LGBTQ and Jewish media outlets in order to reach long tail leads in the NYC area. To drive ticket sales, we created social media content calendars, led training sessions, and promoted buzz-building posts with geo-targeted boosts.

RESULT

The film's trailer was premiered by The Advocate (Pride Media), and its Tribeca screenings were featured in Forbes, Deadline, NYC Lens, Solzy At The Movies, and more. Attendance was strong in the film's Tribeca screenings, and the increased visibility from our efforts carried the film to success in their subsequent festival run.

CANAL STREET

Independent Film Marketing

SITUATION

With only 6 weeks until a nationwide theatrical release, the executive producers of CANAL STREET brought Thin Pig Media in to pump up fans and make a larger impact in key markets.

ACTION

Thin Pig collaborated with the film's stars, constructed weekly post calendars using approved photo and video content, launched Video Views campaigns for the trailer, and inspired hundreds of organic conversations among the African-American, faith-focused, and indie film communities.

RESULT

In coordination with the marketing team, our trailers and cutdowns were seen by millions of people, our ticketing links were clicked thousands of times, and the film's social media following grew to 27K+ on Facebook and 16K+ on Instagram.
