Social Media Manager

Position Overview

The Social Media Manager works in planning, creation and publication of content for social media platforms. This role is responsible for managing multiple clients, building social media strategies in line with our client’s goals, reporting current trends, client’s progress, and competitor positions.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating strategic social media engagement and outreach plans to help our clients meet their goals
  • Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Monitor and help maintain the brand's social profiles
  • Tracking and providing analytics and reports on social media progress, trends, and competition; informing clients of the impact of our efforts and status updates on our work
  • Provide guidance and strategy for our clients on various social media platforms

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years experience with social media platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or Business
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how they can be used in different scenarios for different clients
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
  • A passion for social media and marketing
  • Highly organized, successful multi-tasker, detail-oriented, pro-active
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor

Social Media Coordinator

Thin Pig Media (TPM) is a full service digital marketing agency with expertise in the hospitality and entertainment industries. We offer our clients a wide range of services, including social media profile customization, community management, reputation management, strategy implementation, and much more.

Responsibilities

  •  Assist Social Media Managers on various projects for Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, and more, as needed.
  •  Assist with marketing messages and original blog content
  • Create weekly and monthly progress reports for clients with direction from SMMs
  • Draft, submit for approval, and publish reputation management responses
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties/tasks

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and/or Google equivalent
  • Minimum education: Associate’s degree
  • Familiar with major social media platforms
  • Self-disciplined to work independently and communicate daily progress to the team
  • A passion for social media and marketing
  • Highly organized, successful multitasker, detail oriented, proactive, task-oriented, motivated
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Position Type: Full-time Regular (40 hours per week)

Salary: $14-16/hr DOE

Location: Bellevue, WA
